Personal Info: Tell us a little about yourself

Im Marie aka Pumpkin Queen or as some call me Pumpkin, I’m 37 years young and I’m from the great state of Texas, I’m a clerk, a model and new burlesque performer, I love working out, hanging with my family and friends being a homebody somedays, most of all just an all around genuine chill girl who has a passion in creating art!

Personal Motivation & Modeling Journey

How long have you been modeling, and how did you get started?

I’ve been modeling for about 6 or 7 years I believe, it’s been so long I loose track! I got started by just taking pics for a friends photography journey and then I liked it and started creating!

What inspired you to pursue modeling? Was there a particular moment or experience that sparked your interest?

I’ve always enjoyed models, I used to love looking at inked magazines or rock magazines when I was younger and seeing all the beautiful models, and think to myself I wanna do this! There was no particular moment to me, I feel like it just happened, if that makes sense!

What types of modeling have you done before, and how does boudoir compare?

I’ve done, blood baths, cosplay, witchy, and car modeling, boudoir to me just makes a woman feel so sexy in herself!

How would you describe your personal style as a model?

I would say my personal style is dark modeling! I love all the fake blood, witchy, and gothic styles of photos!

How do you balance photo shoots with other aspects of your life?

Oh gosh, you can ask anyone and they will say I’m always busy... I have my 9-5 on weekdays and I usually do my modeling on weekends or after work, along with trying to stay in the gym and have family and friend time! it gets really hectic but I feel I manage pretty well!! I’m just forever sleepy... but I wouldn’t trade it, I guess you can say I love the rush of it all!

She always hypes you up, she helps you pose, she gives you direction and when you see yourself in her photos you are literally blown away, I know I am each time!

What would you say to others about working with her as a photographer?

I will ALWAYS recommend krystie, because she is really amazing at what she does, she the most beautiful person I’ve ever met, and she’s always made me feel so confident, she’s very professional and her pictures are always high quality and amazing!! Never disappoints!

Did the experience change the way you view yourself or your confidence in any way?

Yes!! The day I met krystie and did my first shoot with her was a day I began to feel more confident in my body! She really has helped me in becoming a better model!

How would you say boudoir photography complements your overall modeling journey?

I would say that it helps us women feel confident in our bodies, I’ve stepped out of my shell so much since that first shoot and I love myself so much more these days!

Tips And Advice

How did you prepare for your shoots? Did you do anything special in terms of mindset, outfits, or self-care?

Yes! Before each shoot I like to take extra care of myself, the night before I’ll make sure I have all my outfits, shoes, and props packed up, then I like to set all my makeup out on my vanity, I make sure I have my makeup look planned out, then I go to bed! I feel having it all prepared helps me to not feel rushed on what I want to do!

If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering a boudoir photoshoot, what would it be?

I would say to look up the idea or look you are wanting to go for, practice poses and stretching, learn your bodies arches and curves and go out there and slay it!!

How would you describe your overall experience in three words?

Confidence

Sexy

Strong
